Vacancy: Environmental Manager

At our site in Chesterfield, we have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join our Compliance Team.

You will create a culture where environment and sustainable best practice are embedded into the day-to-day running of operations.

The ideal Environmental Manager will be professional, approachable with excellent verbal and written communication skills. To prosper in this role, you must be able to build exceptional working relationships across all levels whilst demonstrating a consistent and methodical approach to your workload. You’ll bring your expertise and passion, developing new policies and prepare colleagues for new ways of working.

You will have a solid understanding and experience of environmental and sustainability and experience of undertaking compliance exercises and audits, and whilst we hope that incidents do not happen, you will have experience of responding to and investigating environmental incidents and making recommended remedial actions, working with regulatory authorities as necessary.

Main activities/responsibilities/key tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Conducting environmental audits, inspections and aspects and impacts analysis
  • Environmental hazard identification and risk reduction
  • Ensure legal compliance in relation to waste storage and disposal
  • Incident investigation and accident, pollution and work-related ill-health prevention
  • Recommend environmental improvements / continuous improvement
  • Create, document, implement and train-out policies and procedures in accordance with current legislation, good practice and company rules
  • Ensure employees receive adequate Environmental training appropriate for their job role including statutory training including; Waste Management, Emergency Procedures including Spill and Flood prevention and Response
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed by employees, visitors and Contractors
  • Update policies and procedures as and when required due to; changes in legislation, good practice and / or company rules
  • Maintain a legal register to ensure legal compliance
  • Organise, chair and document local Environmental meetings
  • Assist with the submission of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ’s)
  • Carbon data capture and carbon impact reduction
  • Implementation of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and obtain and maintain 3rd party approval

Ideally you’ll have:

  • In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and effective management approaches
  • NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or equivalent
  • A logical, analytical and investigative approach to problem solving and identification of root causes
  • Sound auditing skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels; able to influence and persuade colleagues, improving commitment and buy-in
  • Working towards Environmental Diploma would be desirable

Vacancy: Health and Safety Advisor

At our site in Chesterfield, we have an excellent opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our Compliance Team.

You will support and assist the site to ensure Health & Safety standards are continually monitored and improved. Provide advice, guidance and training to staff at all levels on site to help them understand and comply with policies and procedures.

As the H&S Advisor, you will carry out thorough investigations into accidents and near misses to identify root cause and implement appropriate remedial actions.

Vacancy: Quality Management Systems Administrator

At our site in Chesterfield, we have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Management Systems Administrator to join our Compliance Team. Due to internal movement, this is a brand-new role to support with the administration of the Quality Management System.
You will provide ongoing support to the QMS Manager in the maintenance of the Quality Management System. In this role you will undertake a wide variety of tasks ranging from document control across the business, generate monthly calibration schedules and provide ongoing administration duties.

The perfect Candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and be an effective communicator. A can-do attitude and a passion and willingness to learn is a must. Experience in a similar role where attention to detail in documentation is paramount.

This will mainly involve working with QMS records generated and organising reports / records, electronic logs and may be required to support some QC processes. The team is passionate, experienced, ambitious and results-orientated, providing you with a brilliant opportunity to develop and contribute to your own skills.

Vacancy: Group Lean Trainer

At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for a motivated Group LEAN Trainer to join our Group Lean Continuous Improvement Team.

As a successful trainer, you will need to display a desire, drive and determination to perform as part of a team, who can influence, inspire, and drive a grass roots cultural shift towards a lean manufacturing environment.

This role is perfect for a driven performer who has a proven background in continuous improvement and collaboration within a manufacturing environment. The role will require flexibility, energy, enthusiasm, and resilience. You will help every member of staff (worldwide) to understand what good looks like and drive autonomous delivery of plans.

Part of this role will include calls and meetings with sites worldwide, therefore working hours would be across various time-zones.:

  • Be a key driver for change implementation and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop Lean standards, training material and the Lean

Vacancy: General Operatives

At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for ambitious and motivated General Production Operatives to join our Fusamatic Department on a permanent basis. Reporting to Production Supervisors, this is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre individuals to collaborate with our team of experienced professionals and engineers in a dynamic environment.

Our General Production Operatives play a vital role in ensuring that our products are of exceptional quality. This role involves working in a production area undertaking general duties. We are constantly looking to develop our teams and you will be given the opportunity to further your skills by learning new manufacturing techniques and machinery.

We are currently on a recruitment drive and have a number of permanent positions available across various shifts.

Shifts:

  • Night Shift – 4on / 4 off Continental – 1800-0600
  • Morning / Afters Rotating – 0600-1400 and 1400-2200 Monday to Friday

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Resistor and mat production, moulding machine operation, final inspection, packing of products, x-ray
  • Carry out work in accordance with the moulding machine set up
  • Ensure maximum output of the moulding machine is achieved at all times
  • Monitor the quality of the product during manufacture
  • Take corrective actions necessary to maintain product specifications
  • Work in compliance with any moulding or related procedure, including product specific procedures, maintaining production and quality standards at all times
  • Report any quality problems on quality issues
  • Safe operation of fork-lift trucks and cranes

Ideally you will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar production roleKnowledge of electrofusion / butt-fusion / moulding process experience (desirable)

Vacancy: Procurement Administrator

At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for a motivated Procurement Administrator to join our dynamic Procurement Team.

As the Procurement Administrator, you will be required to support in improving procurement processes, value received from its suppliers and engage with internal stakeholders. At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for a part-time Site Labourer to join our Compliance team. This is a permanent position working 24 hours per week and would suit a professional who is looking for a part-time role within a proactive facilities team.

You will be required to carry out varied tasks across the business site; which includes on-site Production Facilities, Warehousing and Offices. You will ensure that high standards of general maintenance, presentation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout the site.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and will have some experience in a similar multiskilled role.

Processing of personal data in relation to recruitment

The purpose of collecting personal data about you during the recruitment process is to assess whether you are a qualified candidate for a position in Fusion Group.

When you apply for a position with us, we receive and process an amount of personal data about you. That makes us data controllers of your personal data.

In the context of recruiting, we process ordinary personal data but occasionally we may also process special categories of data such as national ID-number or information about criminal convictions and offences.

When we receive your application

During the recruitment process we register the information which we receive from you in your application, your CV and any other documents you send us.

Typically, we receive the following data: Name, address, date of birth, gender, phone number, email address, national ID-number, marital status, educational background, career history, driving license details, references

You have provided us with the personal data yourself, and they will be processed in preparation of a possible employment and subsequent signing of an employment contract.

We process the data in our staff administration system.


Assessment of applications

We specifically assess the qualifications of each applicant as compared to the requirements of the job advertisement. After screening the applications, we choose candidates for interview(s). The candidates, who were not eligible for an interview, will be notified by us.


When you have been selected for an interview

Prior to and during recruitment interviews we receive additional information about you which we register for use in the recruitment process.

You have provided us with the personal data yourself, and they will be processed in preparation of a possible employment and subsequent signing of an employment contract.

Information from social media

When we recruit for position with a focus on customer or cooperation relations it may be relevant to conduct a search on professional social networking sites e.g LinkedIn.

We use the rule of balancing of interests in the General Data Protection Regulation as our basis for collecting information about candidates from social media. We do so to be able to assess whether your profile matches the company and the specific position.


Information from personality profiling tests

In connection with some job openings we use personality profiling tests. We always assess whether it is relevant for the position in question. The purpose of the test is to assess whether your competences and qualifications as a possible employee and to assess whether your profile matches the company and the specific position.

We use your consent as our basis for processing this data and we will therefore ask your consent before completing the test. You are always free to withdraw your consent and you may do so by contacting us via the above contact info. If you withdraw your consent, the withdrawal is only effective from the time of the withdrawal. Withdrawing your consent does not impact the lawfulness of our processing of the data until the time the consent was withdrawn.


Criminal record certificate

With some positions we need to receive a copy of your criminal record certificate (DBS). We always assess the relevance of this for the specific position. For example we may check applicants for the post of a Security Guard so we can make a suitablity check taking in to account convictions and conditional cautions that are considered to be unspent under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

We only collect a criminal record certificate after an offer of employment, and in that connection, we will always ask for your consent.


Criminal record certificates are not stored, but deleted after employment

If we have collected a copy of your criminal record certificate, we delete it immediately after logging that we have seen it.


Information from previous employer

With some positions we need to collect references from previous employers. If we collect any data from one or more of your previous employers, we register the received information.

We use your consent as our basis for processing these data and we will therefore ask your consent before contacting one or more of your previous employers. You are always free to withdraw your consent and you may do so by contacting us via the above contact info. If you withdraw your consent, the withdrawal is only effective from the time of the withdrawal. Withdrawing your consent does not impact the lawfulness of our processing of the data until the time the consent was withdrawn.


Residence and work permit

It is a condition for your employment that you have a valid work and residence permit. To ensure this, we may ask for a copy of your passport prior to signing a contract of employment

If, because of your citizenship you must hold a work and residence permit to work legally in the UK, we furthermore collect a copy of your work and residence permit.

We are legally obliged to do so according to national immigration legislation.


Storage and deletion

If you are not eligible for a position with us, we delete all information we have received, after no more than six months.

If you are employed with us, we store the information which was part of the recruitment process in your HR file.


Storage of application for potential later employment

In some cases, we may want to keep your application even if you did not get an offer of employment in the first place. This would be to keep you as an option for later recruitment. In such cases, we ask for your consent.
