Fusion Italia recently won a project to supply more than 1,000 fittings for a new multi-use sports centre near Turin, Italy. This isn’t exceptional in its own right, however from placement of order to job completion was just three days, so an excellent and truly market leading service!
Turin is the capital city of Piedmont, a region in northwest Italy. It is 130km northwest of Fusion Italia’s distribution centre near Dego.
The ex-stock availability over a wide range of fitting types and sizes, and Fusion Italia’s ability to get the fittings to site quickly and effectively, contributed to the contractor’s decision to place the order.

‘The sports centre houses a skating rink and other facilities. Fusamatic fittings were used in the fabrication of the skating rink manifold and pipework as well as other applications. The fittings supplied by Fusion Italia ranged in size from 25mm to 50mm diameter and were drawn from our extensive electrofusion, spigot and PE/brass adaptor ranges.
The Fusamatic pin, which automatically sets the fusion parameters on the electrofusion box, ensures a rapid and accurate fusion time. This makes it simple and straightforward for the installer who is guaranteed an effective joint.
Although availability was obviously important, it was the quality, reliability and installation speed of the fitting that was the deciding factor when choosing Fusion Italia for the project.’
