Mark Sindall, celebrating 35 years at Fusion Group

All at Fusion Group would like to say Congratulations to Mark Sindall for completing 35 years’ service with Fusion on the 26th January 2022. 26-01-2022

Mark started his journey with Fusion on the 26th January 1987 when he joined the business as a labourer. He has progressed through several different positions in the UK including Machine Operator, Goods Inwards Inspector and Group Quality Manager to name but a few before moving to China in 2009 and taking on the role as Operations Manager. He moved into his current role of GH Fusion Chief Quality Engineer on the 1st April 2014 and Group Product Approvals Manager on the 1st January 2022.

Before joining Fusion, Mark was a professional footballer and had spells with Notts County and Mansfield Town in the Football League between 1981 to 1984.

In June 2009 Mark was presented with the opportunity of moving to China and taking a position in KEPL. Mark felt that the time was right to move, it was a good opportunity and was relishing a new challenge on the other side of the world. Mark has been in China for 12 years and is currently Chief Quality Engineer at GH Fusion. He has also just added the Group Product Approvals Manager to his title. GH Fusion was established in 2001 and is Fusion’s manufacturing facility in Zhongshan, China.

On what a typical day looks like, Mark said,

“I coordinate the day to day running of the GH Fusion Quality/Test laboratory departments alongside the team. We ensure all correct practices and procedures are being carried out safely and efficiently. I am also responsible for contacting 3rd party test houses to gain and maintain approvals for the Fusion Group product portfolio”

Mark has enjoyed many things about his time at Fusion:

“I have met a lot of good people over the years and in some cases have known them for over 30 years. Fusion has also given me the opportunity to reach certain career goals through commitment and hard work.”

After spending more than a decade in China, Mark is settled and enjoying life.

“I love meeting new people from different countries all around the world, who like me, are in China working and I enjoy learning about the different cultures from their homelands. The cultures are completely different to the UK, including the food and the way of life. The Chinese people seem to be much more family orientated.”

Mark believes the 3 words that best describe him are “committed, loyal and reliable.” All 3 are evident in the fact he has been with Fusion for 35 years and achieved so much in his career. Future goals of Mark’s are “to be happy, continue to do a good job and be successful in my career.”

When not busy at work, Mark enjoys spending time socialising with friends. He lists Vietnam and Thailand as two of the best places he has visited, mainly because both have great beaches for a nice relaxing holiday.

In the time Mark has been with the business, Fusion has grown into a large multi-national company and expanded into numerous countries around the world. The advice Mark would give to people joining the business would be to “take the opportunity when given the chance.”

35 years with the same business is a brilliant achievement! Everyone at Fusion would like to say a big congratulations and well done to Mark for his service.
