How do you envision leveraging your experience and expertise to drive the growth and development of the Supply Chain function within the ASEAN region?
By analysing ‘As Is” current Supply Chain processes I will model “To Be” that aligns with ASEAN region goals and objectives. With my expertise and previous experience, I will focus on standardising our End to End Supply Chain functions and processes within our ERP as well as our internal communication to boost and leverage skills and potential of the Supply Chain Team members within the ASEAN region, our work satisfaction and productivity. Our priority is to move towards Sales and Operations Planning that will lead us to keep Inventory Levels driven by customers demand, faster delivery times, more accurate order fulfilment, and a more responsive supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive consistent and high-quality service. By putting our customers at the centre of our supply chain enhancements, we aim to build stronger, more lasting relationships with them, driving both loyalty and growth.
As the Head of Supply Chain ASEAN, what steps will you take to stay updated on industry trends and innovations to ensure your approach remains at the forefront of the field?
Through my freight forwarding background I have a strong professional network within this sector, I get regular industry updates and I attend their webinars and events. I also follow industry organisations like Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning (IBF) and Supply Chain websites and magazines such as Supply Chain Matters or Logistics Manager and stay update with trends and innovations. I also take part in the programmes/meetings for AVK companies Supply Chain Team members organised by AVK Global Supply Chain team. Staying updated ensures our customers benefit from the latest industry best practices, leading to improved service levels and innovative solutions.
In your opinion, what are the key opportunities in the ASEAN region's supply chain landscape, and how do you plan to address them in your role?
The aim is to grow our sustainable South East Asian supply chain to become a source of competitive advantage and drive our global growth. Looking at ASEAN investments in various areas to strengthen and upgrade supply chain in the region, we can say that today’s challenges will become tomorrow’s opportunities very soon. By addressing these challenges, we ensure our customers experience fewer disruptions, faster service, and consistent product quality.
As the Head of Supply Chain ASEAN, how do you plan to strengthen collaboration between different departments and teams to ensure seamless coordination and efficiency in supply chain operations?
Through understanding perspectives, challenges and priorities of other stakeholders in different departments of our organisation we have the opportunity to enhance our communication effectiveness by evaluating our communication tools. Identifying the most suitable day-to-day task management tools for teams can significantly elevate our communication efficiency. Improved collaboration translates to a more synchronised supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and promptly.
What technologies or digital tools do you see playing a pivotal role in the future of supply chain management in the ASEAN region, and how do you plan to integrate them into your strategies?
There is a need for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) implementation between our companies in ASEAN region as well as checking a potential of EDI between our suppliers’ and freight forwarders’ software. By integrating these technologies, we aim to offer our customers a more transparent, efficient, and responsive supply chain, enhancing their overall experience with us.
