Fusion Silent Auction

Fusion recently held a showcase exhibition and Gala Dinner to celebrate 50 years of business. During the gala dinner we held a silent auction for charity.
The auction was a fantastic success and we are delighted to announce that we raised £5417.17. 

We had a total of 17 lots that included football tickets, holidays, spa breaks, jewellery and hampers. Bids were placed silently throughout the evening and were coupled with bids from employees who were unable to attend on the evening. All the lots were sold for fantastic amounts and there were some very happy winners. 

We would firstly like to say a huge thank you to the individuals and businesses who donated some spectacular items for us to auction. Without your generosity, none of this would have been possible. A list of those who donated can be seen below:

Carol Melville, member of the Fusion Group charity committee said,

“We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated items to our auction and those who placed bids and won. We would not have been able to raise such an incredible amount of money without this generosity. We asked Fusion employees to choose the charities that this money would be donated to and had some heart-warming suggestions. Some of the charities chosen have helped our employees and their families when they needed it most so it is lovely to be able to give something back to them. The charity committee have a number of other events organised to hopefully raise even more money for those that need it most.” 

The fantastic amount raised will be donated to the following charities. These charities were chosen by Fusion Group employees with many citing close personal reasons for having connections with the charities.  

Ashgate Hospice - Ashgate Hospice is a charity that provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire.

Sheffield Branch of Parkinson’s UK - Parkinson’s UK is the main Parkinson’s support and research charity in the UK.

Cancer Research UK - Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest independent cancer research organisation.

Alzheimer’s Society - Alzheimer’s Society is a United Kingdom care and research charity for people with dementia and their carers.

Mind - Mind is a National Mental Health Charity that aims to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice - Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is a South Yorkshire based charity offering palliative care and support to families who have a child or young person with a shortened life expectancy and complex medical needs.
