Fusamatic Anhui Celebrates Win In AVK Group's Yearly Improvement One Pager Competition
Fusamatic Anhui, marked a significant milestone with a factory celebration after being crowned the winner of AVK Group’s 2024 Best Improvement One Pager Award. 13-05-2025
This annual award recognises outstanding lean initiatives across the global AVK network. Fusamatic Anhui’s winning entry – the OD32 valve stem optimisation project – delivered a 58% reduction in labour costs and a 74% reduction in material waste, highlighting the factory’s commitment to continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.
The award was presented by Victory Zhao, AVK Senior Global LEAN Consultant, who praised the team for their technical innovation and practical impact. General Manager Stephen Wang commended the achievement, noting that “this success demonstrates our ability to transform innovation into operational excellence.”
The celebration at Fusamatic Anhui included speeches, commemorative awards, and a custom cake featuring a printed version of the winning improvement. Colleagues across the facility gathered to share in the moment and raise a toast with cola towers stacked high for the occasion (pictured below right).
